    JOB POSTING — ESTEPONA, MÁLAGA Restaurant Operations Manager Bar & Kitchen · Estepona · Full time · Immediate start We’re a newly opened bar and kitchen in Estepona with a global fusion tapas concept, and we’re looking for an exceptional Operations Manager to own the day-to-day operations of the concept. This is a foundational role — you will be the heartbeat of the restaurant, operating with the mindset of an owner and reporting directly to the founders. We’re not looking for someone to clock in and follow a script. We need a natural leader who takes initiative, builds on existing systems, and upholds a culture of excellence. If you thrive in an environment where no two days are the same and you love the full arc of restaurant operations — from a perfectly set terrace to a clean set of books — this is your role. What you’ll own Daily operations Opening & closing procedures, floor service, cash reconciliation and daily reporting to founders Purchasing & stock Ordering, receiving deliveries, inventory management, supplier relationships and invoice control Team leadership Hiring, onboarding, scheduling and developing front-of-house staff — with direction from the founders and chef F&B programme Co-designing and evolving the wine and cocktail programme, tracking cost percentages and targets Admin & compliance Sending payroll hours to our gestor, maintaining APPCC compliance, health & safety standards Events & community Coordinating with the Ayuntamiento and local partners for cultural and marketing events What we’re looking for • Fluent English is non-negotiable — our guests are a mix of locals, expats and international visitors, and you will be their primary point of contact, • Fluent Spanish equally essential — for our neighborhood guests, supplier relations, local coordination and leading a Spanish-speaking team, • Based in or around Estepona, or genuinely committed to being here, • Minimum 5 years of experience in restaurant or hospitality management — we’re open to background, but you’ve held the keys and felt the weight of that responsibility, • Equally comfortable on the floor serving tables and behind a spreadsheet managing costs — no task is beneath you, • Receptive to direction from ownership and the kitchen — you lead your team, and you take direction well from above, • Responsible for operational costs from day one, with a clear path to full P&L ownership as the concept grows, • Proficient with Agora POS and comfortable with basic bookkeeping and supplier management, • Available to work evenings, weekends and holidays as agreed, • Own vehicle preferred What we offer • A foundational role in an open concept — you’ll shape the culture and systems from day one, • Competitive salary commensurate with experience, • Performance incentives tied to measurable goals — we believe in rewarding results, • Real room for growth as the concept grows, • A creative, collaborative environment with genuine respect for your expertise To apply, please send your CV and a brief note about why this role is right for you to Kamala.
