We are recruiting for a skilled General Manager who will oversee the day-to-day operations of our business. In this role, they will be responsible for overseeing the daily operation of the bar and restaurant, managing inventory, driving down costs whilst maintaining good relationships with our suppliers. They will be responsible for creating, and maintaining staff schedules, and will oversee their training and management ensuring they follow company policy whilst providing excellent service to our customers. We are looking for a dynamic individual with the enthusiasm and drive to help take the business forward, utilising their experience of targeted promotions, event planning and good social media management. All of which will ensure it continues to be a prominent business in the area attracting both local clientele and holiday makers through its doors. You will also be expected to lead by example and motivate your team to meet and exceed our business goals every day. General Manager Duties and Responsibilities: - Oversee the daily operations of the bar, including inventory, ensure efficient cost management, staff scheduling, and provide excellent customer service. - Manage Supplier relationships, compare prices and seeking beneficial deals and prices for the business. - Closing and cashing of till at end of day and running all associated till audit reports. - Ensure bar is well-stocked, clean and organised. - Monitor and maintain the quality of beverages and food served at the bar. - Train and supervise staff, ensuring they are knowledgeable about products, company policies, and procedures. - Oversee planning for special events and in house promotions. - Continuously evaluate and improve the bar's offerings, including menu items, promotions, and events. - Develop and implement marketing strategies to increase sales and customer engagement. - Create and maintain a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all customers. - Ensure compliance with health and safety and all local regulations regarding the sale of alcohol. - Collaborate with other areas of the business such as the kitchen, and external event planners. Ensuring a seamless and efficient delivery which achieves full customer satisfaction. General Manager Experience and Qualifications required - Proven experience as a Bar Manager or in similar role - Experience in managing teams, allocating responsibilities and maintaining discipline - Comprehensive Knowledge of inventory management and cost Control. - Experience of budget management, costing and Sales analysis - In-depth knowledge of beverage and food service - Ability to manage personnel and meet the businesses financial targets. - Computer literacy, comfortable with hospitality and sales technology platforms. - Familiarity with relevant health and safety regulations - Excellent customer service skills - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Strong leadership abilities - Organizational skills and attention to detail. - Excellent multitasking ability and problem-solving skills. - Calm under pressure and able to maintain restraint in stressful situations. - Ability to deescalate tense interactions. - Demonstrate judgment and creativity. - Enthusiasm and lots of energy. - Must be fluent in Spanish and English as a minimum. - Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
