MISSION OF THE ROLE The Group IT Program & Data Director reports to the Group CIO and plays a pivotal strategic leadership role within the organization. This position is accountable for defining, governing, and delivering complex, interdependent IT and Data programs that are fully aligned with the Group’s business strategy, profitability objectives, and sustainable growth ambitions. Acting as a key bridge between business strategy, program execution, and enterprise data capabilities, the role ensures the successful delivery of large-scale transformation initiatives while establishing a modern, secure, and scalable data ecosystem across all Group entities. The Group IT Program & Data Director transforms technology and data into tangible business value, enabling data-driven decision-making, advanced analytics, and operational excellence with measurable P&L impact. RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Program Strategy, Governance, and Alignment Define and articulate the vision, scope, and roadmap of Group-wide IT and Data programs in collaboration with Executive Management and Business Sponsors. Structure complex programs by identifying constituent projects, their critical interdependencies, and optimal execution sequencing. Establish and chair the Program Steering Committee (SteerCo), ensuring effective governance, transparency, and decision-making. Ensure continuous alignment with corporate strategy, target business and IT architectures, and enterprise data strategy. 2. Program Execution and Financial Management Oversee the execution of multiple interdependent IT and Data projects, ensuring adherence to Group standards and delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid, SAFe). Ensure strong sponsorship and engagement from Regional CIOs and key stakeholders across all entities. Manage overall program budgets (CAPEX and OPEX), optimizing resource allocation and controlling expenditures with clear EBITDA and P&L impact. Define, monitor, and report on KPIs, value metrics, and benefit realization to track progress and business outcomes., 3. Data Strategy, Architecture, and Platforms Define and evolve the Group Data Strategy in collaboration with Executive Management and, where applicable, the Chief Data Officer. Design, maintain, and govern the target enterprise data architecture, including data models, flows, storage, and integration layers. Lead the selection, implementation, and governance of data platforms and technologies (Cloud Data Warehousing, Data Lakes, ETL/ELT, BI/Analytics, MLOps). Ensure consistency and scalability of data models and solutions across all Group entities and systems., 4. Data Governance, Quality, and Compliance Establish and enforce enterprise-wide technical data governance and quality standards (profiling, cleansing, monitoring). Implement data governance tools and processes, including data catalogs, lineage, and metadata management. Ensure the security, confidentiality, and regulatory compliance of data assets (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), in close collaboration with IT Security. Oversee Master Data Management (MDM) to guarantee a Single Source of Truth for critical business data., 5. Delivery, Operations, and Risk Management Oversee the operational stability and performance of IT and Data platforms, ensuring reliability, scalability, and availability. Manage risks, dependencies, and issues at program level, proactively escalating critical topics to the Steering Committee. Lead change management initiatives to ensure adoption of new systems, platforms, and data solutions across the organization. Assess and govern scope changes, evaluating their impact on timelines, costs, and expected benefits., 6. Leadership, Communication, and Stakeholder Management Lead, coach, and develop Program Managers and Data teams (Data Architects, Data Engineers, Data Modelers), fostering collaboration and high performance. Serve as the primary point of contact for Executive Sponsors, Business Leaders, Regional and Country CIOs regarding program and data initiatives. Promote a data-driven culture and technical excellence across the Group. Manage strategic relationships with key technology and cloud partners. Ensure clear, audience-tailored communication, from detailed delivery reports to executive dashboards. REQUIREMENTS Master’s degree (or equivalent, e.g., MBA or Engineering School) in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field. Minimum 10–12 years of experience in IT, including at least 5 years in senior leadership roles managing complex programs and/or enterprise data platforms in a Group or international environment. Proven track record in managing large-scale, multi-project transformation programs, ideally involving ERP, CRM, data platforms, or digital transformation. Strong expertise in enterprise data architectures and distributed data systems (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka). Hands-on knowledge of Cloud Data Warehousing and Analytics platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, AWS Redshift). Solid understanding of Data Governance, Data Quality, MDM, and regulatory compliance. Experience with Data Modeling methodologies (Kimball, Inmon, Data Vault). Familiarity with Advanced Analytics, Machine Learning, GenAI, Agentic AI, and Data Science infrastructure. Mastery of project and program management methodologies and tools (PMP, PgMP, MSP; MS Project, Jira, Clarity). Strong strategic vision, executive presence, and ability to influence senior stakeholders without direct authority. Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills. High level of rigor, organization, and resilience in complex, fast-paced environments. Fluent professional English is mandatory; Spanish and French are a plus.
