For more details, please visit ___ Key Responsibilities • Application Data Validation: Lead the initial sanitation and consolidation of application inventory data from various sources (e.g., retired EAM tools, spreadsheets) into the central repository (App 360). Ensure accurate BPG and ownership mapping., • Metric Collection & Accuracy: During the pilot, rigorously validate the accuracy of existing application data (e.g., technical fit scores) and systematically collect new metrics (TCO, support model, vendor EoL) by engaging with stakeholders across Finance and SAM (Software Asset Management)., • Deep-Dive Analysis: Once data is confirmed, perform detailed discovery on high-priority application lists flagged for rationalization (Migrate/Eliminate candidates) in conversations with the respective application owners., • Stakeholder Engagement: Interview and align with application owners, architects, and product leads to accurately gather data on application architecture, current tech stack, and future roadmaps., • Rationalization Strategy: Assess applications using industry-standard frameworks such as the 6 R’s) to document the final, recommended disposition (e.g., Retire,, • Repurchase, Refactor) and establish a clear execution path., • Delivery Maturity: Analyze applications for operational maturity, identifying and documenting specific technical, security, or tooling blockers that prevent adoption of standardized Enterprise CI/CD pipelines., • Dependency Mapping: Document critical application dependencies and technical risks, including End-of-Life (EoL) dates for underlying technologies, to inform transition plans., • TCO and ROI Quantification: Partner with Financial and Asset Management teams to accurately capture application Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), maintenance costs, and licensing spend., • Business Case Justification: Support the calculation of Return on Investment (ROI) and projected savings from decommissioning/replacement activities to build data-driven business cases., • Playbook Development & Rollout: Document all pilot activities and decision matrices to contribute directly to the creation of the final Operational Playbook., • Subsequently, support DET teams in implementing this playbook across the organization through dedicated office hours and focused engagement., • Continuous Improvement & Backlog Management: From program onset, work closely with SMEs to identify recurring pain points and areas for improvement, maintaining a prioritized backlog of enhancements for the Tech Debt program itself., • Program Support: Attend and document outcomes from key technical and advisory meetings to ensure consistent application of methodology and strategic alignment. Required Skills & Experience • Technical Acumen (Mandatory): Strong foundational understanding of modern software development practices, CI/CD pipelines, cloud architectures (e.g.,, • Azure, AWS, GCP concepts), and the ability to perform deep-dive analysis on application tech stack, component dependency, and EoL risks., • Analytical Rigor: Proven ability to manage, consolidate, and sanitize complex, inconsistent data from multiple enterprise sources (EAM, CMDB, App 360, spreadsheets) and lead data validation efforts., • Stakeholder Communication (Architectural Liaison): Excellent verbal and presentation skills; demonstrated ability to engage with architects and senior engineering leads to extract technical details and translate technical risk into clear business and financial impact for non-technical leadership., • Change Management & Enablement: Demonstrated ability to train and support diverse technical teams on new operational processes, including running effective office hours and managing a continuous improvement backlog for a shared tool or process., • Methodology Familiarity: Experience or strong knowledge of application rationalization frameworks (e.g., Gartner T.I.M.E., the 6 R’s)., • Tooling: Familiarity with Enterprise Architecture tools, data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), and advanced spreadsheet analysis.
