The role is critical for accurate physiological signal interpretation, robust performance across diverse clinical conditions, and successful design transfer into production. /ph3Key Responsibilities /h3ulliLead design, implementation, and optimization of ECG signal‑processing algorithms, including filtering, beat detection, arrhythmia classification, noise/artifact handling, and feature extraction. /liliDevelop robust algorithms suitable for embedded systems, wearable devices, or low‑power medical hardware. /liliAnalyze ECG datasets from clinical and device sources to ensure algorithm reliability across patient populations and physiological conditions. /liliConduct performance benchmarking, parameter tuning, and validation against industry standards (e.g., AAMI EC57). /liliImplement algorithms in production‑quality code (embedded C/C++, Python, or equivalent) and support design transfer of modules into firmware and cloud‑based systems. /liliParticipate in software architecture decisions, ensuring alignment with IEC 62304 development processes. /liliServe as primary technical contact for internal and external partners regarding algorithmic behavior, performance, and implementation constraints. /liliCollaborate closely with hardware, firmware, and clinical science teams to align signal acquisition hardware with algorithm design. /liliWork with QA/RA and clinical teams to support documentation, traceability, and regulatory submissions. /liliDevelop and maintain detailed documentation for algorithms, software modules, test plans, and validation reports. /liliEnsure compliance with regulatory standards (IEC 62304, ISO 13485, ISO 14971). /liliContribute to risk analysis activities focusing on algorithmic accuracy and edge conditions. /li /ulh3Qualifications /h3ulliBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. /lili5+ years of experience in signal processing, real‑time algorithms, or embedded medical device software. /liliDemonstrated expertise in ECG signal processing (filtering, R‑peak detection, HRV analysis, noise/artifact removal, or arrhythmia classification). /liliStrong proficiency in Python, C/C++, or similar languages for modeling and embedded implementation. /liliExperience working under medical device software lifecycle processes (IEC 62304) and familiarity with ISO 13485 and ISO 14971. /liliProven ability to validate algorithms using large datasets and statistical analysis techniques. /liliStrong communication skills and ability to collaborate across hardware, firmware, clinical, and regulatory teams. /liliPreferred: Master’s or Ph.D. in a related field. /liliPreferred: Experience with AI/machine‑learning–based ECG classification, deep learning, or real‑time physiological monitoring. /liliPreferred: Familiarity with wearable or ambulatory ECG devices (Holter, patch monitors, chest straps). /liliPreferred: Experience optimizing algorithms for low‑power or resource‑constrained embedded systems. /liliPreferred: Experience collaborating with external development partners or contract engineering teams. /li /ulh3Export Licensing /h3pFor positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may need export licensing approval from the U.S. Department of Commerce or the U.S. Department of State.
