You will advance RF photonics and PIC‑based technologies for next‑generation communications, computation, and sensing, while shaping neuromorphic and energy‑harvesting photonic solutions that enable ultra‑low‑power, scalable systems for edge, aerospace, and security‑critical domains. /p pbYour day-to-day responsibilities will include: /b /p ul liContribute to the strategic evolution of the photonic line by evaluating emerging technologies and guiding innovative solutions from concept through validated implementation. /li liDrive innovation by proposing new technical ideas and contributing to research and project proposals with clear societal and technological impact. /li liLead photonic projects end‑to‑end, translating project requirements into effective technical execution to ensure timely and high‑quality delivery. /li liMentor and supervise junior engineers and researchers, fostering technical growth, knowledge sharing, and strong team collaboration. /li liSupport on the design and development of photonic solutions across diverse application domains (including communications, computing, and sensing) from system‑level architecture to integrated circuit layout, modeling and simulation. /li liSupport on the assembly, test, and validation of photonic hardware and early‑stage prototypes, ensuring performance. /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 ul liDemonstrated hands‑on experience in at least two of the following photonic domains: RF/microwave photonics, PIC development, photonic packaging and/or assembly, hybrid photonic‑electronic systems. /li liExperience in project‑oriented environments, including planning, documentation, and coordination of internal teams or external stakeholders. /li liSolid understanding of underlying physical principles, with proficiency in scientific programming (Python/Matlab) and electromagnetic simulation tools (Lumerical, COMSOL, VPI, etc.). /li liHands‑on experimental experience across optical laboratories, cleanroom environments, electronics, or device/system‑level measurements and characterization. /li liPhD or at least 5 years experience in photonics or related fields. /li /ul h3It would be great if you have /h3 ul liBackground in silicon photonics or other PIC platforms (e.g., InP, SiN, hybrid platforms), including design flows, limitations, fabrication and cleanroom processes. /li liExperience in project leadership or technical coordination, such as task planning, milestone tracking, and supervision of technical teams. /li liKnowledge or experience in RF photonics, microwave photonics, or mixed photonic‑electronic systems. /li liFamiliarity with hardware assembly, packaging, and integration of photonic or optoelectronic devices. /li liExposure to energy‑harvesting or low‑power photonic systems, or related research areas. /li /ul h3What We Offer /h3 ul liSalary: From 32.000€SBA + 10% variable depending on your knowledge, experience and desire. /li li23 days of holidays plus your birthday and public holidays 24th and 31st December, resulting in 26 days of holiday. /li liFlexible schedule: choose one Friday off per month. /li liTeleworking and office work: decide how and when you want to work with your team. /li liPersonal training budget and internal training courses. /li liEquipment: we provide all necessary devices for comfortable work. /li liFlexible pay services, restaurant vouchers, childcare, transport, medical insurance. /li liWork‑life balance and a working environment based on horizontal communication. /li liFresh fruit and coffee in the office. /li liEnglish language classes if required for duties. /li /ul h3Equal Opportunity /h3 pWe promote a work environment based on equal opportunities and believe in the value of diversity and inclusion.
