Our client is delivering the installation and completion of a wind turbine project in Orly, South of Paris. The turbine technology is Vestas EnVentus. Candidates should ideally have installation experience in the assembly and commissioning of V162/V172 modular turbines. This is a six-week assignment which will likely be extended. Core Responsibilities • Turbine Assembly: Oversee or assist in the mechanical and electrical installation of the nacelle, tower, and blades for EnVentus platforms., • Quality Assurance (QA): Conduct quality checks, perform traceability documentation (e.g., critical component serial numbers), and ensure torque specifications., • Lifting & Rigging: Safely coordinate lifting operations involving heavy components, using approved lifting gear and risk assessments to avoid damage., • Mechanical & Electrical Completion: Perform mechanical walkdowns, cable routing, grid compliance checks, and non-compliance/fault reporting., • Site Coordination: Function as the link between installation teams, Site Managers, and Project Management to resolve technical issues and enforce budget/schedule adherence. Typical Requirements & Qualifications • Experience: 3 to 5 years of technical/mechanical experience in heavy industry or wind, with direct firsthand or supervisory experience specific to Vestas EnVentus turbines or transferable from similar turbine designs E.G. V162/V172. Safety & Technical Certifications • Basic Safety Training (BST) and Basic Technical Training (BTT), including specific Bolt Tightening and Installation certifications. BTT Mechanical, BTT Electrical, and BTT Hydraulic., • GWO BTT Installation Module. A specific module mandatory for installation phases focusing on hoisting, rigging, storage, and mechanical assembly. Finishing technicians complete the internal mechanical builds and prepare the interior components for commissioning. For this role you will need punch list experience. • Vestas Bolt Tightening (VBT) / Torquing & Tensioning Critical for the massive structural bolt connections required by the split-nacelle architecture. Lifting & Access Equipment: • Certifications such as CPCS (Slinger Banksman/Telehandler), CCNSG, or NPORS., • IPAF 3a & 3b (or equivalent access machine tickets)., • Ability to work at heights (60 to 100+ meters), comfortable in confined spaces, and capable of passing required LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) and Fall Arrest safety training. Working Conditions & Logistics • Rotations: The rotation is TBC, • Travel: The employer provides all travel to site, PPE, tooling, and accommodation.
