About Us: On behalf of an advanced aerospace client in Dubai, we are hiring an Avionics Model-Based Engineer (Avionics & Vehicle Management) to support the development of a next-generation eVTOL aircraft platform. This role focuses on the design and development of the Vehicle Management System (VMS) and integrated avionics architecture, ensuring high levels of redundancy, fault tolerance, and system reliability. The position involves working within a model-based design environment to develop system architecture, operational logic, and algorithms while supporting integration, verification, and certification activities. Responsibilities: • Develop software requirements and system design for the Vehicle Management System (VMS), • Define avionics system architecture ensuring redundancy, fault tolerance, and robust system behaviour, • Design and develop vehicle management concepts and control logic within a model-based environment, • Work with subject matter experts to design solutions for aircraft subsystems including energy management, system monitoring, redundancy management, and control functions, • Coordinate and integrate system requirements across multiple engineering disciplines, • Apply Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) techniques to design and verify system requirements, • Develop and validate mathematical models based on system requirements, • Verify and validate software through simulation environments and hardware-based testing platforms, • Support system integration, verification, and validation activities, • Conduct technical analyses supporting the certification of the Vehicle Management System, • Ensure compliance with aerospace development and safety standards ARP4754A and ARP4761, • Ensure compliance with aerospace software and hardware standards such as DO-178C and DO-254, • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure system performance, robustness, and certification readiness Qualifications: • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, • Minimum 5+ years of experience in avionics engineering, ideally focused on vehicle management systems, fault detection, or monitoring systems Required Skills: • Strong understanding of safety-critical system design and aerospace certification processes (ARP4754A, DAL levels), • Experience working with model-based design and simulation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, • Experience with requirements management tools such as Polarion or DOORS, • Familiarity with aircraft system integration and avionics communication protocols (e.g., CAN, serial communications), • Knowledge of avionics subsystems including Flight Control Systems, Power Systems, and Mission Systems, • Experience supporting System Safety Assessments, Failure Hazard Analysis, and certification activities, • Experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing and system verification, • Strong analytical skills and ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary engineering teams, • Very good English communication skills Pay range and compensation package: • Dubai, UAE (on-site), • Competitive tax-free salary + family benefits, • Relocation support for international candidates
