MACHINE SHOP OPERATOR

We are a small engineering company based near Newquay specialising in bespoke machinery components typically rollers of all types that we manufacture in any quantity from a 1 off to 100's.

Due to continued expansion we require a time served, practical & versatile Engineer.

Experienced in milling & turning on manual lathes & milling machines, welding etc.

In return we offer a competitive rate of pay according to experience and 20 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays. We operate on a 5 day, 37.5 hour week.

Job Purpose:

To produce components using manual lathes and mills, in accordance with drawing specifications to correct quality standards and to required timescales. To support the company in its initiatives to maintain efficient production of high quality standards.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

On receipt of production drawings, check profiles and raw materials are correct and fit for purpose.

Ensure information on the drawings are adequate to complete the job. Advise of discrepancies. Study engineering drawings to determine tooling, check materials meet requirements.
