The Pre-Litigated File Handler will run and maintain their own caseload of up to 250 pre-litigated files to conclusion or the point of litigation. These will consist of a mixed caseload between NIHL (Noise Induced Hearing Loss) claims as well as HAVS (Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome) claims. \n The successful candidate will undertake a variety of tasks on pre-litigated files to ensure all Client KPI’s and SLA’s are met. This role would be ideal for a candidate who is looking for experience running their own caseload. \n Key Responsibilities \n\n • Maintain a caseload of approximately 250 files.\n, • Completion of Tracker Strategy document.\n, • Sending out Initial Letters and completing initial file opening procedures upon receipt of new files\n, • Companies Searches and ELTO Searches.\n, • Director searches and letters.\n, • Instructions to investigators.\n, • Telephone/email chasers to claimant solicitors, insurance companies and brokers for HMRC Schedule, medical evidence, mandates and updates.\n, • General admin including diarising dates for Protocol expiry\n, • Escalation of files to Team Leader for review when key milestones triggered\n, • Updating database on Tracker\n, • Policy queries to client for insured.\n, • Requesting documents from Insurer.\n, • Request and review OH & Personnel records from insured.\n, • Review medical, engineering evidence and witness evidence.\n, • File Closure\n, • Notifying brokers and co-defendants of closure\n, • General admin- diary dates\n, • Undertake ad hoc duties to support the team as required\n, • To ensure compliance with the SRA Standards & Regulations\n, • Adhere to the Keoghs Value\n\n 35 hours per week \n Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm with 1 unpaid hour for lunch. \n Primary location for this role is Keoghs, Parkland, Bolton. \n Skills, Knowledge & Expertise \n The successful applicant should have the following skills: \n Desirable: \n\n • Awareness and understanding of file handing processes for disease claims.\n, • Technical knowledge of NIHL &/or HAVS claims.\n, • Basic understanding of all stages of the pre litigation process for disease claims\n\n Essential: \n\n • Proficient in MS Office (word and excel in particular) and experience of using a Case/Claims Management system.\n, • Ability to use own initiative, self-organise and self-prioritise\n, • Good listening and communication skills\n, • Ability to self-organise and self-prioritise\n, • Ability to work under pressure and to target\n, • GCSE grade A-C in English and Math\n\n Job Benefits \n\n • Davies Incentive Plan\n, • 25 days holiday per year which increases with level of service (opportunity to buy & sell 3 days)\n, • Simply Health Care Cash Plan\n, • WeCare – 24/7 online GP, mental health support and virtual wellbeing covering a whole host of topics to do with health, mental health, wellbeing & healthy living and financial & legal wellbeing\n, • Death In Service – after 1 years’ service\n, • Pension Contribution based 5% Employee / 3% Employer\n, • Employee Resource Groups\n, • Employee Volunteering Programme\n, • Cycle to Work Scheme*\n, • Tech Scheme*\n, • Season Ticket Loan*\n, • Gym Flex*\n, • Access to Online Discount Sites\n, • Discounted Gourmet Society Membership\n, • Discounted Tickets for Merlin Attractions nationwide\n, • Discounts at local retail outlets\n\n *after successfully completing probation
