Since opening in 2017, we’ve grown to 11 coffee houses across Brighton and Sussex, with 2 more set to open in 2026. Each is serving freshly roasted coffee, exceptional food, and crafted cocktails. Now, as we continue to expand throughout the Southeast and London, we’re looking for a charismatic Wholesale Coffee Trainer to help take our wholesale coffee program to the next level. Position Overview We are looking for a passionate and driven Wholesale Coffee Trainer to join our team. This role combines relationship management with hands-on coffee training, ensuring our partners consistently deliver excellent coffee and service across their sites. This is a practical, field-based role suited to someone who is passionate about speciality coffee, enjoys working with people, and takes pride in helping others improve their skills. What you'll be doing: • Delivering engaging, hands-on barista training - from introductory to advanced levels - for wholesale partners, • Developing and refining Trading Post’s wholesale customer barista training programme and materials, keeping them fresh, relevant, and true to our standards, • Running on-site and virtual training, calibration sessions, and support visits to help partners consistently serve incredible coffee, • Monitoring coffee quality at partner sites and providing clear, actionable feedback to drive continuous improvement, • Working closely with the sales team to ensure new partners are onboarded smoothly and confidently, • Monitoring and keeping track of training sessions, partner progress, and quality checks to track impact over time, • Representing Trading Post at events, workshops, and trade shows - showcasing our expertise and passion for great coffee, • Supporting internal coffee education, helping to build and nurture a strong coffee culture across the business Requirements: • Proven experience as a Barista Trainer or senior barista with a genuine passion for sharing knowledge and developing others, • Strong understanding of speciality coffee – from espresso preparation and milk texturing to grinder calibration and equipment care, • Confident communicator with great presentation skills and the ability to engage and inspire a wide range of audiences, • Comfortable travelling and delivering training in different environments – from cafés and offices to events and workshops, • Highly organised and self-motivated, with the ability to juggle multiple training programmes and priorities, • Full UK Driving License Benefits: • Salary from £32,000-£35,000 (depending on experience), • Company electric vehicle, • Company share option scheme after completion of 1 year of service, • Career development opportunities in a growing national brand, • Employee discounts in-store and online, • Collaborative, creative, and supportive team culture If you’re a talented barista trainer who wants to grow with a brilliant independent coffee company, we’d love to hear from you. Maintain a strict food safety, hygiene, and quality standards is critical, with regular checks, accurate record-keeping, and adherence to cleaning and allergen protocols. Prepare detailed handovers to the day-shift team, recording completed and outstanding tasks, noting stock levels or equipment issues, communicating priorities, and ensuring all documentation and workspaces are in order to support seamless continuity and consistent quality. About You The successful candidate shall have experience in commercial baking and have a good understanding of various baking methods/techniques including dough mixing, oven work and finishing bakery products. Be reliable, self-motivated, and highly organised with a can-do attitude and thrive in a fast-paced, team environment. Demonstrate strong time-management and leadership skills. More details The Bakery Manager job (ref:9032) is paying£50,000 per annumaccording to your experience and is a nighttime shift position. The bakery is in West Sussex and is commutable from Steyning, Shoreham-by-Sea, Small Dole, Worthing, Lancing, Brighton and Cowfold and surrounding towns within West Sussex.
