An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a Newly Qualified Solicitor to join the Litigation team, specialising in Contentious Probate at one of Yorkshire’s most highly regarded regional law firms. With continued growth in their team, they are now looking for a confident, proactive NQ Contentious Probate Solicitor to join their supportive and close-knit department. The Role You’ll be working within a busy and highly collaborative team handling a broad range of matters. The contentious probate team covers disputes in relation to: • Wills, • Probate & Estate Administration, • Inheritance Tax, • Trusts, • Powers of Attorney, • Court of Protection, • Financial abuse This is a varied and hands-on role where you’ll be encouraged to take ownership of files and develop strong client relationships from the outset. Key responsibilities include: • Managing your own caseload of litigation matters under supervision, • Supporting senior solicitors on complex matters, • Delivering high standards of client care and communication, • Achieving agreed billing and time-recording targets, • Maintaining confidentiality and compliance with all regulatory obligations, • Assisting with business development initiatives and promoting the team’s profile, • Supporting and supervising more junior colleagues or admin staff where required About You We are looking for a motivated and conscientious individual who is eager to build a long-term career in litigation. Essential: • Qualified Solicitor (newly qualified or due to qualify shortly), • Minimum of 6 months experience in litigation during training contract (contentious probate experience is advantageous but not essential), • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, • Client-focused with excellent attention to detail, • Proficient in IT and case management systems, • Willingness to get involved in firm-wide initiatives, training and marketing Why Join This Firm?
