Gutter and Roof Maintenance Technician

A Wokingham-based business is looking for an energetic and customer focused technician to join its Gutter Clearance and Installation team. The position will involve providing services to a high standard and with excellent customer service. Experience using ladders is preferred but not essential, but your ability to feel comfortable at height and to work with people is a must. You will play a key role in the development and growth of this expanding part of the business. Previous knowledge and experience of providing quotations would be an advantage but full training will be provided. Tasks will involve working at height and travelling to customers location, so a full clean driver's license is essential. Your working hours will vary but average around 8 hours a day, 5 days a week Monday to Friday on a shift basis, with a start time normally between 7.30am to 8.00am. Company van & equipment are provided during working hours. Role and Responsibilities • Skyvac the clearing of gutters and downpipes to clear debris, • External cleaning of fascia and guttering, • Quoting for external clearance, cleans and repairs, • Completion of gutter parts sheets for quotations, • Roof Moss Clearance, • Gutter, fascia and soffit repairs and fascia painting, • Minor remedial roof repairs, • Taking card and cash payments from customers, • Liaising with office staff for customer bookings, • Building customer relationship and satisfaction, • Liaising with office team regarding purchasing and ordering parts when required, • Purchase of gutter parts and materials when required, • Risk Management Assessment, • Experience of working at heights preferred, • Expert ladder skills, • Good physical condition, • Full clean driving licence and good driving record, • Comfortable working in all weather conditions, • Honest and trustworthy with a positive attitude, • Excellent communication/interpersonal skills with the natural ability to build good rapport, • Accuracy, attention to detail, articulate and numerate, • Customer focused attitude with experience of problem solving and overcoming objections, • Team player who can also work on own initiative, • Able to work to deadlines and thrive in a busy environment, • Driven, hardworking and proactive, • Excellent communication skills both written and verbally, • Enthusiastic to learn new skills, • Adapting to change in routine Competitive salary with pension and includes 28 days paid holiday plus 1 extra weather day (includes bank holidays), commission, company van with fuel card, uniform and PPE.
