They focus on quality, innovation, and creating products that meet modern consumer demand.\n\nJob Role & Key Responsibilities:\n\nWe are recruiting for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a fast-paced FMCG food manufacturing environment on a permanent night shift. This is a hands-on engineering role supporting automated production and packaging lines, ensuring machinery runs safely, efficiently and with minimal downtime. The role would suit a proactive, multi-skilled engineer with strong fault-finding ability, a positive attitude towards continuous improvement and experience working within food, FMCG, pharmaceutical, packaging or similar manufacturing environments.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nCarry out planned preventative maintenance across automated production and packaging equipment\n\nRespond to reactive breakdowns and support production to minimise downtime\n\nDiagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults safely and effectively\n\nCarry out like-for-like electrical component replacement and safe isolation\n\nSupport engineering problem-solving, Root Cause Analysis and continuous improvement activity\n\nWork across equipment such as multi-head weighers, flow wrappers, tray sealers, checkweighers, cartoners, metal detectors, case tapers and hot melt glue systems\n\nUpdate maintenance procedures and support factory KPIs\n\nSupervise contractors where required\n\nWork closely with operations in a busy, hygiene-focused manufacturing environment\n\nThe Ideal Candidate will have:\n\nMulti-skilled engineering experience within a manufacturing environment\n\nStrong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills\n\nExperience with reactive and planned maintenance\n\nGood understanding of electrical safety and safe isolation\n\nMechanical experience with pneumatics, bearings, chains, belts and gearboxes\n\nAn engineering qualification or apprenticeship\n\nGood communication skills and a strong team-focused approach\n\nAbility to work independently on a permanent night shift\n\nA reliable, proactive and adaptable attitude\n\nDesirable Skills:\n\nFood, FMCG, pharmaceutical or packaging manufacturing experience\n\nBasic PLC fault-finding awareness\n\nCMMS experience\n\nGMP/GDP understanding\n\nRoot Cause Analysis experience\n\nExperience working with automated packing or production machinery\n\nExposure to equipment such as multi-head weighers, checkweighers, metal detectors, tray sealers, flow wrappers, cartoners, box makers, case tapers and hot melt glue systems\n\nBenefits Include:\n\n25 days holiday\n\nOnly one holiday day deducted per 12-hour shift, offering enhanced time off\n\nAnnual bonus\n\nPension\n\nHealth insurance\n\nDiscounted gym membership\n\nFinancial wellbeing support platform\n\nFormal training and development opportunities\n\nNetworking events and learning lunches\n\nStrong internal progression opportunities\n\nFree snacks and breakfast options onsite\n\nInclusive and collaborative working culture\n\nAdditional volunteering and wellbeing days\n\nOpportunity to occasionally rotate onto day shifts for additional support and development\nIf you are interested in this exciting opportunity, please get in touch with us or apply below
