Senior Electronics Test Engineer Permanent | Southend‑on‑Sea Salary: £35,000–£40,000 (DOE) An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Electronics Test Engineer to join a growing electronics manufacturing team. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical capability, excellent organisation, and a passion for delivering high‑quality electronic products. Key Responsibilities • Carry out functional testing on board‑level audio products, ensuring all equipment is correctly tested, calibrated, and certified according to defined test procedures., • Fault‑find to component level across final assemblies and sub‑assemblies, identifying root causes and carrying out effective repairs., • Perform high‑accuracy PCB rework, including single‑sided and PTH multi‑layer boards with both through‑hole and surface‑mount components., • Work closely with the design team on the creation and maintenance of test procedures., • Provide technical support and training to electronics test and production teams when required., • Read and interpret circuit schematics, understanding analogue and digital circuits of moderate complexity., • Ensure excellent time management and organisation, completing tasks efficiently and to quality standards., • Follow health and safety procedures, reporting any faulty tools, equipment, or jigs., • Maintain a clean and tidy working environment within the department., • Strong experience in electronic fault‑finding to component level., • Skilled in detailed PCB rework and handling complex assemblies., • Confident in interpreting schematics and understanding circuit functionality., • A proactive communicator with excellent organisational skills.
