Traffic Marshal / General Operative - Long Term Location: Farnborough, GU14 0LS Start Date: 13 April 2026 Duration: Until December 2026 (potential for extension) ⏰ Hours: 10 hours per day Pay: £17.00 per hour PAYE + Holiday Pay Role Overview Barker Ross is currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a reputable construction company, for a Traffic Marshal / General Operative on a long-term project in Farnborough (GU14 0LS). This is a mixed role, combining Traffic Marshal responsibilities with general site labouring. Candidates must have experience in both areas and be willing to carry out either role as required by site operations. The ideal candidate will work as part of a small team in a friendly working environment. With increased demand expected through 2026 there will be multiple opportunities for training and development. Role & Responsibilities: Program CNC milling machines (Haas and Matsuura) using OneCNC and Edgecam or from technical drawings. Set up and operate CNC milling machines for a variety of jobs. Ensure machines run efficiently and produce high-quality components. Follow ISO 9001:2015 quality standards to maintain accuracy and reduce waste. Select and monitor cutting tools to optimise machining performance.Knowledge, Skills & Experience: Minimum 3 years experience programming CNC milling machines. Experience with 3, 4 and 5-axis machining. Knowledge of Fanuc control systems. Experience using OneCNC and Edgecam software. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail.
