Job Overview:
We are seeking a nurturing, enthusiastic, and dedicated Childcare Practitioner to join our team at Rainbow Ridge Daycare. The successful candidate will provide a safe, stimulating, and caring environment for young children, supporting their physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Key Responsibilities: - Provide high-quality care and education to children aged 0-3 years. - Plan and deliver engaging activities that support the children’s development in accordance with EYFS. - Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment indoors and outdoors. - Monitor, assess, and record children’s progress, sharing information with parents/carers. - Promote positive behaviour and manage any challenges in a caring and consistent way. - Follow safeguarding procedures and report concerns appropriately. - Ensure all health and safety, hygiene, and welfare requirements are met. - Build strong relationships with children and families. Requirements: - Not essential but desirable - Level 2 or 3 qualification in Childcare/Early Years (e.g. CACHE, NVQ, or equivalent) - Knowledge of the EYFS framework and child development principles. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - A warm, patient, and caring nature. - Strong organisational skills and the ability to work as part of a team. - Current Paediatric First Aid certificate (or willingness to obtain). - Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one before employment).
