Your Role\n As a Sheet Metal Worker, you will: \n\n • Manufacture and install high-quality sheet metal components, including ventilation systems and internal fittings.\n, • Interpret engineering drawings to measure, cut, shape, and assemble materials using a variety of hand and power tools.\n, • Produce accurate, well-finished work that meets required standards and quality expectations.\n, • Apply practical problem-solving skills to resolve issues during manufacturing and installation, ensuring correct fit and safe completion.\n, • Collaborate within a skilled team to maintain a safe environment and deliver reliable installations that keep projects on track.\nEssential Skills\n To thrive in this role, you should have: \n\n • A recognised Modern Apprenticeship, Trade Papers, or SVQ/NVQ Level 3 qualification (or equivalent).\n, • Experience from construction, manufacturing, marine, or other practical engineering environments.\n, • An understanding of SHE and COSHH requirements, following safe working practices and safety training.\n, • The ability to work with engineering drawings, measuring, cutting, shaping, and assembling components accurately and safely.\n, • Solid attention to detail, using your craftsmanship skills to deliver high-quality work.\nThe Sheet Metal Worker Team\n Join a dynamic team that delivers upgrades, refurbishments, and new installations across secure BAE Systems sites. Our client one of the UK's largest Retailers and Multinational clothing, footwear and home products retailers both online and on the high street they have some exciting opportunities to work in their new purpose-built Photographic Studios in Leighton Buzzard. \n Warehouse Assistant Working primarily within the warehouse you will need to have good attention to detail and ensure accuracy in everything you do; you also need to be quick and respond to requests effectively and ensure that you are able to deal with a fast-paced environment. You will need to scan any items that are moved or relocated to ensure a clear audit trail of all goods in from the Warehouse to the Studio Floor \n\n • Securely wrap all home samples, anything from little candles, picture frames to heavy furniture, sofas\n, • Responsible for the safety of colleagues and yourself in the workplace. To report or deal with any hazards, incidents, and accidents.\n, • Demonstrate the ability to work within health & safety guidelines.\n, • You may be required to work at other studio locations on request.\n, • Assist in Ad hoc duties as set out by the warehouse manager when required.\n, • Using the studio database, register home products onto the system ready to transport between studios and the warehouse.\n\n About you: \n\n • Have a friendly, helpful, and professional manner always.\n, • Have excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with peers and senior management.\n, • Must be physically fit due to the heavy lifting of samples.\n, • Have some level of experience in data input.\n, • Have excellent attention to detail and organisation skills.\n, • Demonstrate the ability to work within health & safety guidelines.\n, • Be able to contribute and work effectively within a team environment and as part of the wider studio team.\n, • Be able to work well under pressure, have a flexible attitude and be responsive to change.\n\n The role will be 8:15 - 4:15 Monday to Friday \n We will issue you with a High Viz Jacket, but you will need to have your own safety shoes with must be worn at all times on site.
