Registered Manager Childrens Residential Homes Locations: Wigan (WN5) & St Helens (WA10) Salary: £40,000 £58,101 per annum + up to £5,000 bonus Service: 23 bed childrens residential homes Benefits Competitive salary: £40,000 £58,101 per annum Performance bonus of up to £5,000 Opportunity to step into Registered Manager role (strong Deputy Managers welcomed) Smaller, manageable 23 bed home settings Supportive leadership structure Career progression opportunities within the organisation Ongoing training and development Chance to directly shape and improve outcomes for young people The Company Established provider of childrens residential care services Focused on delivering high-quality, child-centred and therapeutic care Strong commitment to safeguarding and positive outcomes Stable, growing organisation with multiple home locations Supportive senior leadership team with hands-on operational guidance Committed to developing internal talent and promoting from within The Role Registered Manager of a 23 bed childrens residential home Responsible for day-to-day running of the home and overall service delivery Ensure full compliance with Childrens Homes Regulations and Ofsted standards Lead, supervise, and develop a small residential staff team Maintain high safeguarding standards at all times Oversee care planning, risk assessments, and placement stability Manage staffing, rotas, budgets, and service performance Build strong relationships with external professionals and agencies Drive continuous improvement and positive Ofsted outcomes The Person Applying Must be a car driver (essential) Minimum 5 years experience in residential childrens care Level 4/5 in Leadership & Management (or equivalent/higher) Experienced Registered Manager OR very strong Deputy Manager ready to step up Strong understanding of safeguarding and Ofsted frameworks Confident leader with proven staff management experience Calm, resilient, and able to handle challenging situations effectively Passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people Strong organisational and decision-making skills Committed to delivering safe, nurturing, and stable environments TPBN1_UKTJ
