Role Overview This remote role sits between support and engineering, with a split across reactive support delivery and proactive engineering improvements. As a Support Engineer, you will resolve technical issues and contribute to service optimisation, automation, and platform improvements based on real client and operational needs Key Responsibilities Support Delivery: • Provide high-quality support across multiple client environments, • Manage and prioritise a busy ticket queue, ensuring adherence to SLAs, • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across Windows, macOS, Microsoft 365, and core infrastructure, • Deliver excellent customer service with confident client-facing communication Engineering & Optimisation: • Implement technical solutions and improvements, • Develop and maintain scripts using PowerShell and Bash, • Identify recurring issues and drive proactive fixes, • Support standardisation across client environments, • Assist in internal tooling, scripting, and efficiency initiatives Skills Required Essential: • Strong PowerShell &/or Bash scripting ability, • Experience supporting multiple clients in varied IT environments (MSP experience beneficial), • Excellent troubleshooting across Windows & macOS, • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Office apps), • SharePoint administration, including permissions and structure, • Experience with Active Directory / Entra ID administration, • Solid understanding of email systems and mail flow troubleshooting, • Experience with device builds, deployments, and migrations, • Server administration capabilities (Windows Server environments), • MDM / device management experience, • Basic networking knowledge and troubleshooting, • Strong organisational skills with the ability to balance support and project-based work Desirable (Nice to have): • Experience with RMM and PSA tools (e.g. ConnectWise, Autotask, NinjaRMM), • Exposure to Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Manager / Conditional Access, • Firewall experience (SonicWall, WatchGuard, Fortinet), • Familiarity with email security platforms (Mimecast, Barracuda) Working Pattern Fully remote, with occasional team days at the London SE1 office.
