The post holder is responsible for conducting fire safety inspections on council-owned communal and front entrance fire doors in flats, ensuring their accessibility and functionality for residents. They will manage a detailed inspection programme to ensure all doors are fit for purpose. They will identify defects during assessments, report them to the client, and ensure timely rectification. A full record of inspections must be maintained for future reference. The post holder will also conduct Fire Risk Assessment surveys for council buildings, addressing fire safety concerns such as compartmentation and signage.
