Your new company Hays is seeking to recruit a General Building Operative for HMP Hewell. This is an exciting opportunity to work within the prison service and can often lead to permanent opportunities. Your new role As part of the Works Department, you will be responsible for both reactive repairs and planned and preventative maintenance. Currently, the prison has several refurbishment and general day-to-day maintenance projects underway. As such, the prison requires a general building operative who can complete general tasks such as assisting other trades, putting up signage, general basic painting and carpentry duties, using drills and hand tools and fire alarm/ emergency lighting checks. Working days & Hours Monday to Thursday - 07:30 until 16:30 (1 hour unpaid lunch) Friday - 07:30 until 15:30 (1 hour unpaid lunch) You may be asked to do a weekend. What you'll need to succeed Previous experience in a prison/ public sector is not required for this role. Grounds Maintenance Operative- Bromsgrove - X1 Role Available Grounds Maintenance operative is needed to work for one of the UK's leading landscape/grounds maintenance company. Daily duties will include grass/ lawn cutting, litter picking, Strimming, Edging, Hedge cutting, Weed control, using mowers and powered tools and other general landscape labour duties as directed by the supervisor.
