Conveyancing Legal Assistant, Redditch, family feel office \n An excellent opportunity has arisen for a proactive and organised Legal Assistant to join a busy Residential Conveyancing team. This role offers the chance to provide essential support across a varied caseload while working within a professional and collaborative legal environment. \n Key Responsibilities \n\n • Providing administrative support to fee earners within the Residential Conveyancing department.\n, • Preparing and issuing client quotations.\n, • Managing enquiries from clients, solicitors, mortgage lenders and estate agents.\n, • Keeping clients informed of progress and assisting with the smooth progression of matters.\n, • Opening and closing files using a case management system while ensuring compliance with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) requirements, quality standards, and relevant regulatory obligations.\n, • Assisting with leasehold property transactions.\n, • Conducting online searches and obtaining relevant property documentation.\n, • Submitting applications via the Land Registry portal, responding to requisitions, and obtaining official copies, title plans and lease documentation.\n, • Preparing Stamp Duty Land Tax (SDLT) calculations and submissions.\n, • Processing bills and coordinating payments and receipts with the finance team.\n, • Providing occasional reception support as required.\n\n Candidate Requirements The ideal candidate will possess: \n\n • Previous experience in a Conveyancing Assistant, Legal Assistant or similar support role.\n, • A good understanding of the day-to-day operations of a legal practice.\n, • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.\n, • Experience using case management systems.\n, • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.\n, • Strong organisational and administrative abilities.\n, • The ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.\n, • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.\n, • A basic understanding of the residential conveyancing process.\n\n Benefits \n\n • Immediate start available.\n, • Full-time, office-based position (Monday to Friday).\n, • Competitive salary dependent on experience.\n, • Generous annual leave entitlement plus bank holidays.\n, • Pension scheme.\n, • Ongoing training and career development opportunities.\n, • Additional employee reward and wellbeing benefits.\n\n This role would suit a motivated and detail-oriented individual looking to further their career within residential conveyancing and contribute to a successful legal team.
