This trusted defence partner is seeking a talented Manufacturing Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a key member of the Manufacturing Engineering department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and cost-effective production of the company's products. Responsibilities: • Compiling and updating Manufacturing Instructions to support the manufacturing process, • Designing, commissioning, and proving associated tooling, • Supporting the industrial validation process through the use of FMEA's, FAI's, and other quality assurance methods, • Resolving technical problems that may arise during the manufacturing process, • Managing Configuration Control by implementing Design Modifications into the Manufacturing Instructions, • Supporting the Non Conformance Process using SAP Requirements: • A formal technical Engineering/Craft Apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3/TR23/TR21 and level 3 (ONC) or a formal further education certificate to HNC or equivalent, • A minimum of 5 years' experience within an engineering discipline, • The ability to interpret Design Drawings and produce Manufacturing Build Instructions for both Skilled and Semi-Skilled operators, • Experience in Electronic Sub Assembly manufacture through to System level builds, • Knowledge of the assembly process for small/miniature Electro-Mechanical Actuation Systems, • Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively at various levels of the organisation

What we're looking for from you: • Minimum HNC level of qualification or equivalent in a relevant subject (HND/Degree preferred) plus experience in digital and analogue electronics manufacture and test., • A good understanding of electrical/electronic measurement and test principles and test equipment, as well as fault diagnosis techniques for electronic/electro-mechanical sub-assemblies., • Experience of using both manual and automated test equipment, preferably in a defence organisation or similar manufacturing environment., • Familiar with enterprise resource planning and manufacturing execution system programs (e.g. SAP, MES) for recording test activities and generating non-conformance reports and concessions.
