Team Leader - Manufacturing and Production Location: Plymouth, UK (on-site) Salary: £36,500 per annum Employment Type: Permanent Hours: Full Time - 37.5 hours / split shifts 06:00-14:00 / 14:00-22:00 Our client, a well-established manufacturing business in Plymouth, is seeking a Team Leader to support their production operations. This role involves leading a team of Manufacturing Operators to meet production targets while maintaining high standards of safety and quality. The Role: Lead, support, and develop a team of Manufacturing Operators to achieve daily production and performance targets. Drive performance in line with key business metrics including Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and People. Promote a zero-accident culture by proactively identifying safety hazards and ensuring company policies are followed. Ensure high standards of quality are achieved in line with Medical Device Standards and Good Manufacturing Practice. Support labour planning, monitor sickness and holiday cover, and help ensure production plans are delivered efficiently. Work closely with Production, Quality, R&D, and planning teams to provide clear and accurate communication across shifts. * Identify opportunities to reduce waste, lower costs, and improve Right First Time performance and batch record completion. Required Expertise: Previous experience within a manufacturing environment, ideally with experience supervising or leading a team. Good understanding of Health and Safety procedures within a production or manufacturing setting. Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice and the ability to work to high quality standards. Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail.
