The School Site Manager will oversee the daily operations and maintenance of a school site in London, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for students and staff. As a medium-sized institution, they focus on delivering high-quality facilities management to support their mission of fostering academic excellence. \n Description \n Security\n\n • Main key holder for the school.\n, • Opening and closing the premises.\n, • Managing alarms and responding to security call-outs.\n, • Monitoring CCTV and site security arrangements.\nMaintenance & Repairs\n\n, • Carrying out minor repairs and maintenance tasks.\n, • Monitoring the condition of buildings, furniture, fixtures, and equipment.\n, • Arranging external contractors for specialist repairs.\n, • Overseeing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities.\nHealth & Safety Compliance\n\n, • Conducting routine inspections and safety checks.\n, • Monitoring fire safety equipment, emergency lighting, alarms, ladders, and water hygiene (Legionella).\n, • Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety and COSHH regulations.\n, • Reporting hazards and implementing corrective actions.\nGrounds & Facilities Management\n\n, • Maintaining external areas, including playgrounds, pathways, car parks, and drainage systems.\n, • Managing gritting and snow clearance during adverse weather.\n, • Ensuring grounds remain safe and presentable at all times.\nCleaning & Housekeeping\n\n, • Monitoring cleanliness standards across the school.\n, • Supervising cleaning staff where applicable.\n, • Managing cleaning supplies and equipment.\n, • Ensuring toilets and communal areas remain operational and hygienic.\nContractor Management\n\n, • Escorting and supervising contractors on site.\n, • Monitoring quality of work and compliance with safety procedures.\n, • Obtaining quotations and coordinating repair works.\n\n Operational Support \n\n • Supporting school events by arranging rooms and furniture.\n, • Managing deliveries and stock of maintenance and cleaning supplies.\n, • Monitoring utility usage and recording meter readings.\n\n Profile \n\n • Practical maintenance and DIY skills.\n, • Good understanding of Health & Safety regulations.\n, • Ability to work independently and prioritise workloads.\n, • Strong problem-solving abilities.\n, • Excellent organisational skills.\n, • Good communication and relationship-building skills.\n, • Experience supervising contractors or site staff.\n, • Full Driving License Required - Manual\n\n Job Offer \n\n • Competitive salary ranging from £30,095 to £33,895 per annum.\n, • Comprehensive company benefits package.\n, • Permanent role offering stability and growth opportunities.\n, • A supportive work environment within the not-for-profit sector.\n, • Convenient location in London with access to local amenities.\n\n This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated School Site Manager to make a positive impact in the education sector.
