Location: Scarborough, North Yorkshire Start Date: ASAP / April 2026 Contract: Full-Time, Ongoing Salary: £92 – £110 per day Are you a nurturing, enthusiastic, and dedicated Early Years Practitioner looking to make a real difference? We are seeking a full-time Early Years Practitioner to join a specialist setting in Scarborough, supporting young children with additional needs at the very start of their educational journey. This is a rewarding opportunity to work in a supportive environment where every child’s development, communication, and wellbeing are at the heart of everything. • A specialist provision supporting children with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC) and Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)., • Focus on early development, communication, and sensory-based learning., • Small class sizes with high staff-to-pupil ratios., • A nurturing, structured, and inclusive environment., • Strong emphasis on teamwork, training, and staff development., • Support children within an Early Years setting through play-based and structured learning., • Promote communication and interaction using visual aids, PECS, Makaton, or similar strategies (training can be provided)., • Assist with personal care and daily routines where required., • Support children with emotional regulation and social development., • Work closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff to meet individual needs., • Help create a safe, engaging, and stimulating learning environment., • Experience working with young children (EYFS, nursery, or childcare setting)., • An understanding of SEN, particularly ASC and/or SLCN (desirable)., • A patient, caring, and proactive approach., • Strong communication and teamwork skills., • A rewarding full-time role in a specialist Early Years environment., • Ongoing training and professional development opportunities., • Access to a wide range of CPD Training including Autism Awareness, SEN Diploma, Child Psychology and Managing Challenging Behaviour., • Competitive daily rates inclusive of Holiday Pay., • Dedicated consultant support throughout your placement.
