Overall Purpose of Role: As the Marketing Manager for Oceanscan Group, this role is to develop and lead strategic marketing communications initiatives to support business growth priorities across our companies. The Marketing Manager will also act as a key link between Oceanscan and the Venterra Group marketing team to align Oceanscan activities with broader group activities to support commercial growth. The Marketing Manager will also support strategic bids, and leverage market intelligence for targeted campaigns designed to support business development. The marketing department is also responsible for creating and developing a strong, professional identity thus managing the group’s media communication, marketing, advertising and design projects within the Venterra Group brand guidelines. Relationships: Reports to Chief Growth Officer, indirectly to the Venterra Group Director of Marketing and Communications. Liaises with Oceanscan team, clients and suppliers. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities: The responsibilities of the postholder will include but not be limited to the following: • Develop and implement a marketing plan, • Identify market trends, business opportunities, and industry developments, • Collaborate with and support Group marketing teams activities, • Oversee creation and execution of tailored marketing and communications campaigns, • Monitor campaign performance and refine strategies for optimal impact, • Enhance quality of OS marketing collateral and sales support materials, • Work with group team to enhance OS reputation and visibility in target sectors, • Work with group team to maximise media coverage for OS in industry publications, • Help maintain company CRM, • Capture insights on client engagement, bid performance, and campaign effectiveness, • Provide dashboard reporting to commercial leads, • Lead brand and content strategy, ensuring consistent messaging, • Oversee digital marketing efforts (website updates, SEO, email campaigns, paid advertising) and help to drive online traffic with web-related campaigns for all regions, • Develop and lead internal communications strategy to engage colleagues, • Identify industry sponsorships, awards, and event participation, • Coordinate distribution of invitations, monitor responses, manage follow-ups and cancelations, • Co-ordinate event set up and break down, • Organising corporate events, assisting with event set up and dismantling where necessary, • Promote and enforce brand guidelines Experience and Qualifications: Desirable experience and qualifications are as follows: • HNC / HND or equivalent in a relevant area; Marketing, Business Administration, Graphic Design, • Strategic marcomms and internal communications experience at mid to senior level, • Experience supporting business development through effective marketing and communications campaigns, • Significant and credible experience in digital marketing, • Experience setting priorities, developing a work schedule, monitoring progress towards goals, and tracking details, data, information and activities, • Experience of working cooperatively and effectively with others to resolve problems thus enhancing organisational effectiveness Skills and Knowledge: • Data-driven decision-making using CRM and marketing analytics, • Business development and bid preparation knowledge, • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, • Extensive experience using various social media platforms; Linked In, Twitter, Facebook, and Google, • Use of Adobe Creative Cloud applications; InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat Pro, Fireworks, After Effects, Dreamweaver and Flash, video / presentation editing experience, • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Desktop Publishing Suite; Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, • Supporting the ongoing development of the OS website, applying SEO best practice to improve visibility, user experience, traffic quality and conversion pathways., • Oceanscan and Venterra compliance processes, including but not restricted to Data Protection and Copyright Personal Qualities: • Ability to think strategically by assessing options and actions based on trends and conditions in the environment, and the vision and values of the organisation, • Highly organised with an ability to manage multiple priorities and lead projects, • Demonstrate a willingness to be flexible, versatile and/or tolerant in a changing work environment, • Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with others, • Ability to assess situations to determine the importance, urgency and risks, and make clear decisions which are timely and in the best interests of the organization Work Requirements: • Effectively support the HSSEQ function in accordance with the company’s values, goals and objectives, • Willingness to maintain Continual Professional Development to ensure your own knowledge base enhances Oceanscan’s capability and that you comply with the company’s policies, processes and principles, • Maintain integrity by being honest and transparent with staff, clients and suppliers, • Highlight new technologies or working practices which may benefit the company, • Actively participate in regular team and company events as required, • Ensure we focus on being customer centric by developing good relationships with clients and suppliers and providing outstanding levels of service to ensure client needs are met on time, every time, • Participate in the leadership and commitment of QHSE to ensure there is zero harm to our people, the environment and equipment, • Take an active role in ensuring the quality of our products and services fully meets customer requirements., • Ensure you work in line with various areas of compliance, including but not restricted to Customs/Export Control/Import/Anti-Bribery/Quality Assurance (QA), • Ideally have a clean driving license and the ability to travel to global companies if necessary, • Maintain reasonable levels of fitness to carry out the role and actively participate in medicals where required About Venterra: Venterra is a dedicated wind energy services group at the forefront of driving the clean energy transition.
