I am seeking a dedicated Warehouse Operative to support the efficient operation of a local warehouse in Crawley. This role involves receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching stock while maintaining high standards of health and safety, housekeeping, and customer service. The successful candidate will also operate warehouse equipment, including a Counterbalance Forklift Truck. \n Day-to-day duties of the role: \n\n • Receive, unload, and check incoming deliveries against purchase orders and delivery notes.\n, • Accurately store goods within designated warehouse locations.\n, • Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders in line with company procedures and dispatch deadlines.\n, • Load and unload vehicles safely and efficiently.\n, • Operate a Counterbalance Forklift Truck to move materials and products throughout the warehouse.\n, • Conduct stock checks and assist with cycle counting and inventory control activities.\n, • Ensure all warehouse documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner.\n, • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.\n, • Follow all Health & Safety, Quality, and Company procedures at all times.\n, • Report stock discrepancies, damage, or safety concerns to management.\n, • Assist with general warehouse duties as required.\n, • Support colleagues and contribute to achieving warehouse productivity and service targets.\n\n Required Skills & Qualifications: \n\n • Previous experience working within a warehouse, logistics, or distribution environment.\n, • Valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence and practical operating experience.\n, • Good understanding of warehouse processes, including goods in, goods out, picking, and packing.\n, • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.\n, • Strong attention to detail.\n, • Good communication and teamwork skills.\n, • Ability to follow procedures and adhere to Health & Safety requirements.\n, • Basic numeracy and literacy skills.\n\n Desirable Skills & Experience: \n\n • Reach Truck Forklift licence and operating experience.\n, • Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS).\n, • Previous experience with stock control and inventory processes.\n, • Manual handling training.\n, • Experience working to KPIs and service level agreements.\n\n Personal Attributes: \n\n • Reliable and dependable.\n, • Positive and proactive approach to work.\n, • Flexible attitude and willingness to support the wider team.\n, • Strong work ethic and commitment to quality.\n, • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.\n\n Please apply online now if this sounds like the next role for you. \n
