As an Assistant Project Manager within our Civil Works team, you’ll be right at the heart of delivery, learning from experienced leaders while taking on real responsibility from day one. This role is designed as a stepping stone. For the right person, there is clear scope to grow into a full Project Manager role as the programme progresses. What you’ll be doing You’ll support the Project Manager in delivering major civil engineering scopes safely, to programme, and to budget. Working within a large, multi-disciplinary team, you’ll gain exposure across the full project lifecycle, from early design and contractor engagement through to delivery. Your work will include: Project delivery and coordination • Supporting planning, coordination and monitoring of work packages, • Organising and documenting meetings with internal and external stakeholders, • Supporting Multi-disciplinary Teams and Joint Management Team meetings, • Coordinating technical, commercial, cost and schedule discussions, • Supporting programme updates, progress reviews and performance reporting, • Assisting with budget tracking, financial assessments and internal papers, • Supporting earned value activities, • Supporting contract administration activities including early warnings and compensation events, • Working with design suppliers and the wider Civil Works Alliance, • Supporting risk and opportunity management, • Contributing to quality reporting and compliance with nuclear standards, • Supporting effective communication across delivery teams and the wider project This role would suit someone who is ambitious, curious, and keen to build a long-term career in major projects.
