To assist other departments of the PCE team with pre-start planning and programming. Assist with the supplier/subcontractor selection, analysing competitive offers, and helping to ensure the chosen supplier/subcontractor has the appropriate skill set and capability to deliver the works. Place all appropriate supplier/subcontractor orders ensuring that such order documentation provides access to all the required information for the supplier/subcontractor to undertake their work without putting at jeopardy any of the terms, conditions or obligations agreed by PCE with its client. Be responsible for all Supplier/Sub-contract commercial management including variation accounts and processing of requests for payment. Attend external and internal project related meetings, recording all actions, agreements and any unresolved matters. REQUIRED SKILLS Strong commercial and financial management within construction projects Proven experience across the full project lifecycle (pre-construction to final account) Solid understanding of contracts (e.g. JCT/NEC) and contract negotiation Experience managing subcontractors, procurement and supply chain Ability to manage variations, change control and project risk Confident in cost reporting, forecasting and cash flow management Experience handling claims, disputes and final account negotiations Strong leadership skills with experience developing and supporting teams Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Highly organised with strong attention to detail Proactive, professional and solutions-focused approac Acts with professionalism and integrity always.
