We are looking to recruit a general maintenance person with experience of small works and to help build a team of multi-skilled maintenance staff. Initially on a part-time basis, there will be an option to work full time in due course, if mutually beneficial. The position may suit a semi-retired person. We are a long standing (75 years) Estate Agency with it's own in-house maintenance department. We maintain a broad range of properties and are noted for our high quality work and practices. Responsibilities • To attend various sites in South-East London and elsewhere according to need., • To deal with minor maintenance issues from changing taps, washers, toilet siphons, painting, minor carpentry works (fitting kitchen cabinets/boxing in etc), LVT flooring, patch plastering, silicone sealant replacement and other minor works., • To undertake like for like electrical works (changing sockets, light fitments etc). A recognised qualification would be ideal but training can be provided for the selected candidate., • To keep the company vehicle and store in good order and ensure all equipment is kept clean and in a good state of repair. Qualifications You must; • Have a good command of the English language both written and spoken, • Have a clean driving license, • Be flexible and able to get a job done in the time allowed, • Be an excellent time-keeper, • Be neat, tidy and organised, • Have a friendly, personable manner with tenants and clients and other members of staff, • Have an unlimited right to work in the UK Salary and Benefits £ 30,000 - £ 35,000 depending upon age and experience for a 40 hour week.
