Graduate Geotechnical Engineer Location: WinchesterSalary: £26,000-£31,000 Are you a recent graduate looking to begin your career in geotechnical engineering? What's on Offer: • Competitive salary, • Flexible holiday allowance, • Company pension scheme, • Structured graduate training and mentoring, • Support towards chartership and professional qualifications, • Exposure to complex and technically challenging projects, • Balanced mix of site work and office-based responsibilities, • Excellent long-term career progression opportunities, • Friendly and collaborative working environment Key Responsibilities: • Supporting ground investigations and a variety of geotechnical site activities, • Recording soil and rock conditions and carrying out in-situ testing, • Assisting in the production of factual and interpretative geotechnical reports, • Contributing to earthworks evaluations and foundation design recommendations, • Organising laboratory testing and analysing site investigation results, • Assisting with remediation projects and ground engineering solutions, • Overseeing site activities while maintaining health & safety standards, • Collaborating with senior engineers and multidisciplinary project teams, • Keeping clear and accurate site records and technical documentation, • Communicating with clients, contractors, and external project stakeholders What We're Looking For: • Degree qualified in Geology, Earth Sciences, Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related subject (ideally achieving a 2:1 or above), • Keen interest in geotechnical engineering and ground investigation works, • Strong written and verbal communication abilities, including technical reporting, • Good analytical and problem-solving skills, • Motivated, enthusiastic, and keen to develop professionally, • Able to work collaboratively within a team environment, • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and accurate record keeping, • Flexible and willing to undertake site-based work when required, • Full UK driving licence is advantageous, • Must have the right to work in the UK This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate engineer looking to build a long-term career within a respected consultancy that values professional development, technical excellence, and collaborative working.
