To assess, develop and implement speech and language therapy interventions as required across the school in partnership with parents/carers and other statutory and independent agencies to ensure a holistic approach towards the management of the pupil. To work in a consultancy capacity in order to develop staff skills to meet the communicating needs of pupils across the school. What is the day-to-day of the role: To be a source of expertise to colleagues, pupils, families and carers on the management and care of speech, language and communication difficulties or dysphagia.
