Our Client, Bury Council, is seeking a Children’s Advanced Practitioner to join their Children with Disability Team. Fantastic payrate of minimum £40 per hour! Responsibilities of this role: • Provide advanced practice leadership within the CWD team, supporting high-quality assessments, care planning, and safeguarding interventions for children with complex needs., • Hold a small caseload of highly complex and high-risk cases, modelling best practice and supporting team decision-making., • Offer expert advice, guidance, and mentoring to social workers, enhancing practice standards and professional development., • Lead on complex assessments (e.g. Child in Need, Child Protection, and Care Proceedings) ensuring compliance with statutory frameworks and legislation., • Support the Team Manager in quality assurance, including case audits, supervision support, and performance monitoring., • Promote strengths-based, child-centred practice, ensuring the voice of the child and family is central to all interventions., • Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners (health, education, SEND services) to coordinate effective support packages., • Lead or contribute to strategy discussions, safeguarding meetings, and multi-disciplinary planning., • Drive continuous improvement by embedding best practice, contributing to service development, and supporting inspection readiness (e.g. Ofsted)., • Ensure robust risk assessment and safeguarding responses for children with disabilities, considering additional vulnerabilities., • Deputise for the Team Manager where required, supporting operational oversight and decision-making.
