SEN Teaching Assistant – Flexible Opportunities (Wakefield) Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs? We are currently recruiting dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join a supportive and nurturing primary academy environment in Wakefield. The school has a strong focus on supporting pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), including: • Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), • Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, • Speech, Language and Communication difficulties The Role We are offering full-time, part-time, and supply positions, allowing you to choose a working pattern that suits your lifestyle. Your responsibilities will include: • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, • Assisting the class teacher with tailored lesson delivery, • Promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies, • Helping pupils develop social, communication, and life skills, • Previous experience working with additional needs, either:, • In an educational setting (school, college, nursery), or, • In a support worker, care, or youth work role, • A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach, • Strong communication and teamwork skills, • Flexible working options – full-time, part-time, or supply, • Opportunities to start ASAP, • Ongoing support and guidance from experienced consultants, • The chance to secure a permanent contract for the right candidate If you’re ready to take the next step in your career and make a positive impact in a supportive SEN environment, we’d love to hear from you.
