Role Description Ionic Technologies seeks a chemical/process engineer to work on process simulation and design. This role will support both the magnet recycling project and the development of rare earth separation and refining technology. Youll work within an interdisciplinary team focused on helping the Company to build a secure and sustainable rare earth supply. Key Responsibilities Develop, refine, and optimise process simulation models based on laboratory test-work and pilot plant data. Provide input to the overall process engineering package, plant design and general plant and facility layout. Work with the technical team to value-engineer solutions for optimal deployment of capital whilst delivering the scope. Provide technical input to laboratory programs that will define opportunities for project enhancement. Contribute to process engineering efforts and work closely with process engineering team. Contribute to the preparation of technical documentation. Support project timeline, budget development, and risk management. Undertake work consistent with the companys Code of Conduct. Essential Requirements Degree level qualifications in chemical/process engineering or hydrometallurgy discipline. Experience with chemical process modelling software (e.g., SysCAD, Aspen). Strong communications skills, both written and verbal. Well-developed process analysis and technical problem solving skills. Work independently but able to effectively contribute to the functioning of a cohesive team. Proficient in MS Office suite, especially Excel. Familiarity with common process engineering documentation (e.g., MEB, PFDs, P&IDs, PDC, MEL). Personal Attributes Self-starter with a structured, disciplined approach. Desirable Criteria Exposure to the chemical or minerals sectors, with previous experience in hydrometallurgy. Knowledge of the metals/resources industry. Previous experience in rare earth separation.
