This is a fully flexible, remote role with a connection to Bedford, offering the chance to take a lead on impactful education projects, including work aligned with DfE frameworks. With over 80 years of success and a global team of architectural and engineering professionals, the practice is known for pushing boundaries in sustainable and inclusive design. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality schemes across the education sector, alongside projects in residential, commercial, and healthcare, typically ranging from £10m to £60m. This position is ideal for a confident, design-led Architect ready to step into (or further establish themselves in) a senior role, with the autonomy to lead projects and the support of a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary team. Project Architect Salary & Benefits • Competitive salary (up to £53,000), • Fully flexible / remote working environment (Candidates will need to be based within a commutable distance of Bedford due to project locations), • 22 days holiday + bank holidays (increasing with seniority), • Pension scheme (minimum 5% employee / 4% employer contribution), • Private healthcare, • Death in service benefit, • Annual training and development budget, • Employee Assistance Programme, • Discount schemes, • Further company benefits to be discussed at interview stage Project Architect Job Overview • Lead the design and delivery of education projects, with a strong focus on DfE schemes, • Work across all RIBA stages, from concept through to completion, • Daily use of Revit, • Develop and coordinate design solutions in line with project requirements, budgets and timelines, • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, integrating MEP and structural requirements, • Liaise with clients, contractors, consultants and local authorities, • Prepare detailed design reports, drawings and models, • Undertake site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance, • Review technical information Project Architect Job Requirements • ARB / RIBA qualified Architect (or equivalent), • Strong xrnqpay experience within the Education sector, ideally including DfE framework projects, • Strong knowledge of Revit, • Proven track record of delivering projects from concept to completion, • Solid understanding of UK building regulations and education design standards, • Ability to work effectively in a remote, flexible environment
