About the Role As a Pupil Support Worker, you'll work side-by-side with teachers and pupils to build a calm, nurturing, and positive classroom environment where students can thrive—academically, socially, and emotionally. You’ll: • Provide individual and small group support in lessons across a range of subjects, • Help implement tailored educational programmes and behaviour plans, • Support pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development, encouraging positive relationships and self-belief, • Prepare learning materials and resources to bring lessons to life, • Accompany pupils and staff on educational visits and enrichment activities, • Occasionally support with transporting pupils (e.g. after detentions or school trips) We’re looking for someone who: • Has Grade C/4 or above in English and Maths (or equivalent), • Has a calm, patient and caring approach—especially in challenging moments, • Loves working with young people and is passionate about making learning accessible for everyone, • Can build strong, supportive relationships with pupils and staff alike, • Has experience working with secondary-age pupils (ideal but not essential), • Can work as part of a team but is also confident taking initiative Belmont Primary School is an Independent School which offers boys aged between 5 – 11 years who have Social and Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) challenged and additional complex behaviours to access a tailored education that suits their needs.
