The Role As Head of Sales, you will lead the strategic and operational delivery of our client’s sales function. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be accountable for building a high-performing sales team and delivering sustainable new business growth. You will work closely with Marketing, Operations, Customer Success, and Senior Leadership to ensure that the team’s sales approach is aligned with the company’s mission, values, and commercial goals. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys being close to the detail, developing people, and driving consistent performance. What's on offer? • A salary of £50,000 to £60,000 (Depending on Experience), • A performance related bonus of £25,000 Key Responsibilities: Strategic sales leadership • Own and deliver sales targets, forecasts, and pipeline performance., • Maintain clear visibility of pipeline health, conversion rates, and deal quality., • Lead on strategic partnerships, including Multi Academy Trusts and Local Authorities., • Use data and insight to drive continuous improvement., • Establish clear standards for sales activity, qualification, and follow-up. Team leadership & development • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Sales Consultants., • Build a high-performance, values-led culture., • Set clear expectations and performance measures., • Design and deliver structured onboarding, training, and development programmes., • Conduct regular 1:1s, call listening, reviews, and performance check-ins., • Build confidence, skill, and accountability across the team. Business development & customer acquisition • Drive acquisition of new schools and MATs., • Embed consultative, needs-led selling approaches., • Work closely with Marketing on lead generation and campaign follow-up., • Ensure accurate CRM usage and reporting across the team., • Maintain high standards of customer experience throughout the sales journey. Cross-functional collaboration • Partner with Marketing, Customer Success, and Operations to optimise the customer lifecycle., • Provide structured feedback to inform product, positioning, and proposition development., • Collaborate with Finance and Leadership on forecasting and planning. Data, reporting & market insight • Analyse pipeline, win rates, renewals risk, and market trends., • Monitor KPIs including conversion rates, AOV, NPS, and customer satisfaction., • Produce clear, actionable reports for senior leadership., • Track competitor activity and emerging opportunities. Title: Precision Machining Trainer (Secondment Opportunity) Location: Aldermaston, Reading (100% on-site) Contract: 12 Months (ASAP start) Rate: Up to £65.00 p/h Clearance: SC clearance (Active) Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Precision Machining Training Specialist to lead and deliver hands-on technical training within a highly regulated engineering environment. The role is focused on training, coaching, and developing machining capability, ensuring personnel are competent, safety-focused, and aligned to operational requirements. This position is ideal for someone with strong machining experience who can clearly articulate processes and effectively teach others how to perform the role. Key Responsibilities • Deliver practical, hands-on machining training aligned to programme requirements, • Train individuals on how to perform the role, not just theoretical understanding, • Develop and tailor training plans based on individual and programme needs, • Coach, mentor, and support learners in a workshop environment, • Challenge poor or unsafe behaviours and role expected company behaviours, • Ensure all training activities comply with health & safety standards, • Provide supervision within scope of responsibility, • Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure training outcomes are met Essential Experience & Skills • 2–3 years’ competent machining experience (dependent on individual skill level), • Proficiency in:, • Shop Mill & Shop Turn, • Manual milling and turning, • Hand fitting, • Strong engineering/manufacturing background, • Ability to clearly articulate machining processes and training requirements, • Proven ability to coach, teach, and support others, • Safety-focused and H&S compliant, • Demonstrated leadership capability at First Level Desirable Experience • Teaching or training experience (formal or informal), • Recognised teaching qualification (highly desirable, not essential), • Previous experience in public or private sector engineering/manufacturing environments Qualifications • NVQ Level 3 in Engineering or equivalent (essential), • NVQ Level 4 (desirable) Technical Environment • Shop Mill & Shop Turn, • Siemens interface Security & Eligibility Requirements • British Citizenship required, • SC clearance required from Day 1, • Enhanced DBS required, • Candidates must meet UK residency requirements for clearance, • Dual nationality may be considered for certain cases
