Class Teacher (SEN) - Specialist Primary School South Oxhey, Watford (WD19) Competitive Salary (Dependent on Experience & Pay Scale) Full-Time | Permanent About the Role We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Class Teacher to join a specialist primary setting supporting children with Learning Difficulties, Autism, and Speech & Language Needs. Key Responsibilities • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual EHCP outcomes, • Lead the day-to-day teaching and care of a class of pupils with SEN, • Monitor, assess, and report on student progress and achievements, • Provide strong pastoral support to pupils, • Work collaboratively with parents, therapists, and external professionals, • Line manage and support Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) within the classroom, • Contribute to curriculum development and whole-school improvement, • Prepare reports for Annual Reviews and maintain accurate student records, • Holds QTS (Qualified Teacher Status), • Has experience working with SEN, particularly ASD or complex needs, • Is confident managing a classroom with additional support staff, • Demonstrates strong behaviour management and communication skills, • Is committed to inclusive education and pupil wellbeing, • Supporting pupils with personal care needs, • Assisting with medical or therapeutic programmes (training provided), • Participating in physical activities (e.g. PE, swimming), • Working in a hands-on, dynamic classroom environmentWhat We Offer, • Supportive and collaborative team environment, • Ongoing CPD and training opportunities, • Opportunity to take on additional responsibility (e.g. Learning Area Coordinator)
