Tripod are currently recruiting for an Physiotherapist to work in the Eastbourne area. Up to £35 an hour Working Hours - Full time preferred Duration : ASAP - Ongoing Apply now or refer a friend for £500. You will be providing a Physiotherapy service to clients with diverse or complex presentations, working within the community as part of an inter-professional team We aim to support clients to regain their skills, confidence and independence to remain at home safely. Within this role, you will have a clinical caseload where you will provide assessment of the client’s needs and create and implement intervention plans with the client and multi-disciplinary team in order to facilitate safe and timely discharge plans with reduced ongoing support where possible. You will have the support and guidance of a senior therapist. The therapy team is always evolving and you will have the opportunity to be a part of service development initiatives and ideas to ensure the service is compliant with departmental and organisational policies as well as HCPC code of conduct. You will also have the opportunity to provide education and health promotion to staff, clients and their families. Key Tasks: 1. Work as part of an inter-professional team with supervision. To undertake interprofessional assessments and independently manage and key work a caseload which will include routine and complex patients who require rehabilitation and reablement. 2. Negotiate goals with clients and motivate them to participate in treatment to achieve these goals. To formulate, deliver and evaluate individual physiotherapy treatment programmes using clinical assessment, reasoning skills and knowledge of treatment skills e.g. manual physiotherapy techniques, health promotion, provision of equipment, gait re-education, postural management and graduated exercise programmes. 3. Provide regular communication and advice to clients, relatives, GP’s and other health and social care professionals. This may be in person, or via telephone, email or letter. 4. Explain to and educate clients about their condition, which may require them to overcome barriers to communication such as language differences and complex neurological impairment. 5. Initiate and participate in multi-agency team meetings and case conferences / reviews; liaising with colleagues, other professionals and both statutory and voluntary agencies for the benefit of the individual client. 6. Work within an interprofessional framework with other Multi-disciplinary professional staff, working positively within the team and attend team meetings and training as required. 7. Participate in the development of an interprofessional working environment, delegating appropriately to Rehabilitations Support Workers and Therapy Assistants assisting in the training of staff and students within the Department. 8. Supervise Therapy Assistants and educate other professionals or other disciplines, Therapy Assistants and students within the inter-professional team. 9. Maintain accurate record keeping and data collection in-line with the service, organisation and HCPC guidelines and undertake the administrative work necessary for the service. 10. Ensure professional registration and standards are maintained and work within the HCPC professional code of ethics. To work as an autonomous professional according to the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) “Rules of Professional conduct” and “Standards of Physiotherapy” and the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) regulations, working without the need for direct supervision. Access to advice and support from a more senior physiotherapist is available if required.
