If you enjoy working at the intersection of culinary creativity, global supply chains and airline clients, this role offers the opportunity to help shape a fast-growing international division.” Location: Hybrid – Company Headquarters in Stroud, Gloucestershire Reports to: Managing Director – Travel Travel: International travel required (typically 2–3 trips per month) Compensation: £65,000 - £75,000 + performance bonus + profit share scheme + best-in-class benefits About the Travel Division We design and deliver quality food products for international airlines. As our Travel division enters a new phase of growth, we are looking for a commercially minded culinary leader to help shape and scale our airline food proposition across global supply partners. Products developed in this role will be manufactured across multiple factory partners on different continents and served to passengers across a global airline client base. The work sits at the intersection of culinary creativity, commercial discipline and complex international supply chains. The Opportunity We are seeking a commercially focused Head of Food Product Development to lead product innovation and delivery for the Travel division. You will represent the business in discussions with airline procurement and culinary teams internationally and play a central role in developing propositions that win and retain airline contracts. Working closely with the Managing Director – Travel, you will shape the culinary direction of the division and oversee the development and implementation of products through international manufacturing partners. This is a pivotal leadership role in a division entering a significant growth phase, with the opportunity to influence strategy, build global supply partnerships and help define the next generation of airline food. The role carries significant ownership of product direction, supplier selection and product launch delivery. What You Will Do • Lead the end-to-end development and launch of new airline food products, ensuring delivery to agreed timelines, cost targets and specifications., • Provide culinary leadership within airline tender processes, shaping compelling product propositions., • Build and manage international manufacturing partnerships capable of delivering airline-scale production across multiple continents., • Assess and select international production partners based on capability, scalability, compliance and cost architecture., • Ensure full compliance with airline, halal, HACCP and relevant international food safety standards. How Success Will Be Measured • Delivery of product launches to agreed timelines and cost targets., • Airline contract wins and renewals influenced by product proposition., • Consistency of quality across global manufacturing partners., • Alignment of product cost architecture with airline pricing models and commercial margin targets. Experience Required • Demonstrable track record of delivering complex product launches to tight commercial timelines., • Senior culinary or product leadership experience within food manufacturing, contract catering, or complex B2B food environments., • Strong commercial understanding of margin management and product cost architecture., • Confident presenter able to represent the business with senior airline stakeholders and internal leadership teams., • Experience working with multi-site or international manufacturing partners., • Strong organisational discipline with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects., • Experience operating within structured client tender cycles., • Experience in airline catering is advantageous but not essential.
