Veterinary Care Assistant - Luton We are looking for an enthusiastic and confident Veterinary Care Assistant to join our fabulous nursing team! The position is full-time and the hours will be on a rota basis between 8.30 and 7pm, and every other Saturday 9am-4pm. There are no Sundays or out of hours work. You would be joining a team of 1 Head Nurse, 1 Deputy Head Nurse, 3 RVNs, 2 Student Nurses and 1 VCA, as well as 5 Vets, a Customer Care Manager and 4 Receptionists. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast paced environment whilst being cheerful, down-to-earth and hardworking and will have a genuine interest in animal welfare. We expect a high level of care so previous experience would be beneficial, but training will be given. Your day will involve helping the clinical team with all aspects of caring for the patients, such as feeding, handling and walking. You will also assist with cleaning and stocking items, as well as general reception and administration tasks. Having a full driving license and vehicle would be advantageous. We are looking for someone who wants to progress in their career within the veterinary industry. We will provide training for the Veterinary Care Support qualification through the College of Animal Welfare, and for the right applicant further study may be available to become a Student Veterinary Nurse.
