Our modern clubhouse offers three distinct hospitality spaces: Harry's Lounge Bar, providing relaxed day-to-day service; the 96-cover Colts Restaurant, ideal for club functions, celebrations, and private events; and a stunning balcony overlooking the course, offering spectacular views for dining and socialising. Position Overview: The Assistant Bar and Catering Manager plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day operation of the Club's food and beverage service, ensuring exceptional standards across the bar, restaurant, events, and clubhouse hospitality. Working closely with the Bar and Catering Manager, this hands-on role is responsible for supervising front-of-house team, delivering outstanding member and guest experiences, while ensuring compliance with all relevant food safety, licensing, and health and safety standards. Key Responsibilities Support the daily operation of the bar, restaurant, and catering services, ensuring consistently high standards of customer service. Supervise, motivate, and develop front-of-house team, including shift management, staff training, and performance support. Assist in planning and coordinating food and beverage operations for competitions, social events, and private functions. Monitor service quality, presentation standards, and operational performance, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. Manage stock control, ordering, cellar operations, wastage, and supplier relationships in line with budgets and procedures. Ensure compliance with food hygiene, health and safety, allergen, and licensing regulations while maintaining high housekeeping standards. Deputise for the Bar and Catering Manager when required, supporting operational decision-making. About You: At least one year's supervisory experience within a premium hospitality, leisure, or club environment and have a genuine enthusiasm for hospitality within a club environment. Hold a Personal Licence and have previous experience acting as the Designated Premises Supervisor (DPS), with a strong understanding of licensing legislation and compliance. Proven experience supporting weddings, private functions, and events. Able and willing to work a flexible rota, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays, to meet the operational needs of the Club.
