Job Title: Electrical Design Lead (Electrical Bias) Salary: £55,000 – £65,000 (dependent on experience) Location: Saint Asaph, North Wales Type: Permanent | Hybrid About the Role: This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of electrical design delivery on large-scale water industry projects. You’ll lead a team of MEICA designers, ensuring technical excellence, compliance, and timely delivery across multiple workstreams. About the Client: Our client is a leading contractor operating within the water and utilities sector, known for delivering high-quality infrastructure and engineering solutions across the UK. They pride themselves on collaboration, innovation, and sustainable delivery. Key Responsibilities: • Lead and manage a team of designers to deliver complex MEICA designs under CDM regulations., • Oversee all design deliverables to meet programme and target requirements., • Manage design resources effectively and ensure clarity of roles within the team., • Produce weekly progress reports showing deliverables against key targets., • Ensure full compliance with current CDM regulations and electrical legislation., • Work closely with commercial teams to ensure alignment with NEC4 contract options E and A., • Motivate and mentor your team to deliver best-in-class design solutions. What Our Client is Looking For: • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the water industry, covering all aspects of MEICA., • Degree in Electronic or Electrical Engineering (preferred)., • Proven experience leading design teams and managing complex design programmes., • Strong commercial understanding and experience with NEC4 contracts., • Excellent communication, leadership, and people management skills.
