Job Title: Warehouse Supervisor (Manufacturing / Stores) Location: Farnworth, Bolton, BL4 0AN Salary: £30,000 - £32,000 per annum Job Type: Full time, Permanent Working Hours: 38 hours per week - Mon to Thurs 07:30 to 16:00 and Friday 07:30 to 12:50 Based in Greater Manchester, Heatrod Elements are the UK's leading manufacturer of heating elements and associated process heating equipment required for industrial heating applications. About the Role: We are looking to recruit a Warehouse Supervisor to be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse and stores within a manufacturing environment. This includes supervising staff, managing inventory, ensuring accurate stock levels, maintaining safety standards, and supporting efficient material flow to meet production and customer requirements. As part of a small team this is a hands on role so there will be some heavy lifting/carrying involved. Key Responsibilities: Supervision & Team Management Lead, supervise, and motivate warehouse operatives and store personnel Allocate tasks and monitor performance to ensure productivity targets are met Provide training, coaching, and performance feedbackInventory & Stock Control Working with the Materials Manager manage inventory levels, stock accuracy, and cycle counts Ensure proper storage, labelling, and handling of materials Investigate and resolve stock discrepanciesReceiving & Dispatch Oversee goods-in and goods-out processes Ensure timely and accurate receipt, storage, and dispatch of materials Coordinate with production, procurement, and logistics teamsOperational Efficiency Optimise warehouse layout and processes for efficiency Maintain accurate records using ERP/WMS systems Monitor KPIs such as order accuracy, picking rates, and inventory turnoverHealth, Safety & Compliance Enforce health and safety policies and procedures Ensure compliance with company standards and legal regulations Conduct safety checks, risk assessments, and incident reportingEquipment & Facilities Ensure proper use and maintenance of warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts) Report and manage maintenance issuesAbout you: Skills & Experience Proven experience in a warehouse or stores supervisory role (ideally within manufacturing) Strong knowledge of inventory management and warehouse processes Experience with ERP or warehouse management systems Good leadership and team management skills Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities Strong communication skillsQualifications Relevant qualifications in logistics, supply chain, or warehouse operations (desirable) Forklift licence (preferred, depending on requirements) Health & Safety certification (e.g., IOSH/NEBOSH - preferred)Key Attributes Attention to detail Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Proactive and results-driven approach Strong decision-making skillsWhat we can offer you: 25 days (plus bank holidays) holiday increasing with length of service Free onsite parking Cycle to work scheme Learning and Development Opportunities Referral scheme Cash Health Plan Staff social events through the yearNo agencies.
