Health & Safety Consultant | Swansea, Wales \n Fixed-term Contract (12 Months) \n \n About the Role: \n \n TSA Riley’s Health & Safety team are seeking to hire an experienced Health & Safety Consultant to work in a fast-paced logistics environment for a global, blue-chip client. \n \n This is a fixed-term contract for approximately 12 months, and the successful candidate will be paid a competitive salary and be based at one or more of our client’s sites in the Swansea area. Some weekend work will be required. \n \n Exact details of the assignment, including hours, days worked and locations can be discussed further with shortlisted candidates at interview stage. \n \n This is an exciting opportunity for a Health & Safety Consultant to join an established and professional team with the primary purpose of supporting and advising the project team. This will require a hands-on approach, excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with all stakeholders. \n \n Duties & Responsibilities: \n \n Typical duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: \n \n\n • Recording and maintaining accurate daily and weekly metrics.\n, • Reporting to onsite management teams using corporate reporting systems.\n, • Supporting stakeholders and the project team with compliance and HS regulations.\n, • Carrying out regular site walks throughout the day.\n, • Completing risk assessments with attention to detail.\n, • Carrying out toolbox talks\n, • Attending and chairing various meetings with the stakeholders and the wider project team.\n, • Advising and recommending appropriate risk mitigation measures to management, including ergonomics.\n\n \n Experience and Qualifications Required: \n \n Essential Qualifications: \n\n • NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent\n, • CSCS card\n\n \n Skills & Experience: \n\n • We work with a global, online distribution organisation who use their own bespoke health & safety reporting platform. Prior experience of using similar bespoke systems would be advantageous.\n, • 3+ years CDM Health & Safety experience spent specifically on large scale commercial construction sites within the UK.\n, • Prior experience of working on industrial warehouse projects would be advantageous, but is not essential.\n, • Strong understanding of UK building regulations and the ability to apply that knowledge in offering recommendations and advice relating to onsite design challenges.\n, • Strong communication skills.\n, • Ability to review risk assessments in a working environment and advise on reasonably practicable control measures.\n, • Ability to solve problems and generally provide sound and strategic recommendations and advice to the clients and other stakeholders.\n, • The ability to work collaboratively with internal and external teams.\n, • Pro-active approach to risks and challenges as well as the ability to self-manage your time and priorities.\n, • Knowledge of RAMS.\n\n \n Who we are: \n \n TSA Riley has a 130-year heritage dating back to 1890 when Henry Riley Esq first established a quantity surveying practice in London.
