As an After School Club Assistant, you’ll help deliver high-quality wraparound care, ensuring every child feels safe, supported, and encouraged to participate in a range of exciting activities. \n Working alongside a dedicated team, you’ll help create positive experiences that support children’s wellbeing, independence, and social development while maintaining the highest standards of care and safeguarding. What You Will Be Doing\n\n • Welcoming and supervising pupils at the end of the school day.\n, • Supporting a variety of fun, creative, and age-appropriate activities.\n, • Preparing and serving healthy snacks and refreshments.\n, • Encouraging positive behaviour, inclusion, and friendship-building.\n, • Supporting pupils’ emotional wellbeing and confidence.\n, • Maintaining a safe, clean, and engaging environment.\n, • Keeping attendance records and following collection procedures.\n, • Assisting with the set-up and tidy-up of club areas and resources.\nWhat You Will Bring\n\n, • A genuine passion for working with children.\n, • The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.\n, • Strong organisational skills and reliability, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.\n, • A calm, positive, and professional approach in a busy environment.\n, • The ability to encourage participation, independence, and positive behaviour.\n, • An understanding of the importance of safeguarding and child wellbeing.\n\n Experience working with children in a childcare or school setting, along with an NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or a related qualification, is desirable.
