    Pay: £15.00 - £18.00 per hour depending on experience. Job Description: The Penmorvah Manor Hotel is looking for a Sous/Senior Sous chef to join our friendly team. The Manor is a 27-bedroom, 3-star country house hotel with an AA rosette award located just outside of Falmouth, Cornwall. Hours are variable, with four to five day weeks available for the right candidate, typically at an hourly rate, although salaried pay is negotiable at interview. As Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Chef, kitchen team, and property owners to bring new ideas and help maintain current standards within a growing family business. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing food to the highest quality and standards, running the kitchen in the absence of the Executive Chef, cost control, maintaining hygiene, health and safety, and staff development. The right person will be an experienced chef with ambition, vision and passion for food. This is a working chef position which requires a ‘hands on’ approach to the daily operation of the kitchen. You must be able to demonstrate an exemplary health and hygiene record and the ability to work under pressure, with good financial judgment. This is the perfect role for a Sous Chef looking for the next step up. The Penmorvah Manor is a lovely place to work, offering visitors attractive accommodation, good food and friendly service. About the Role You will be supporting vulnerable adults in residential/supported living settings, helping them to live independently while promoting dignity, respect, and wellbeing.
